This online course is based upon a 24 hour in-person course and covers the material and practical assessments required by STCW Regulation A-VI/3.

Entry to the course is open to students with basic training and knowledge as well as naval engineers wishing to improve their knowledge and understanding of the operation and control of the installation of machines of a modern merchant ship.

The experience of the student on duty at sea in a merchant ship engine room will be enhanced and strengthened by the structured activities carried out in this course.
